Platform Sports Coaching fully recognises our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in our care. This Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is one of a range of documents which set out the safeguarding responsibilities of the company. We wish to create a safe, welcoming, and vigilant environment for children where they feel valued and are respected.
We recognise that our organisation and schools may provide the only stability in the lives of children who have been abused or who are at risk of harm.
We are aware that the behaviour of a child in these circumstances may range from that which is perceived to be normal to aggressive or withdrawn.
We can play a significant part in the prevention of harm to our children by providing them with good lines of communication with trusted adults, supportive friends and an ethos of protection.
Wherever the word “staff” is used, it covers all PSC staff on site, including full time, part time or self-employed staff, It seeks to set out the principles and procedures we operate to protect children from harm. This policy provides information regarding our safeguarding responsibilities and details how these responsibilities should be carried out.
